Welcome to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)!

This course on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of user interface design and alternative computing methods beyond traditional input devices. Through cognitive psychology models, students will predict and assess user performance in various tasks, while emphasizing user-centric design and evaluation methodologies. Students will explore conventional and non-traditional interface paradigms, including virtual reality, mobile computing, and ubiquitous computing, and grasp the societal and ethical responsibilities of engineers in technological design. Additionally, collaborative product design projects will enhance teamwork skills. By the end, students will demonstrate proficiency in applying HCI principles to interaction design and designing tools for individuals with disabilities.
